Anton Pichler

Anton Pichler joined the Complexity Science Hub as a James S. McDonnell Foundation (JSMF) postdoctoral fellow in October 2021.

Anton holds a PhD in mathematics from the University of Oxford (supervisors: Doyne Farmer, François Lafond, Cameron Hepburn), as well as degrees in quantitative finance, economics and political science.

Before joining CSH, Anton was a a member of the Complexity Economics group at the Institute of New Economic Thinking at the University of Oxford where he developed models of patenting dynamics and shock propagation in production networks.

Anton’s research interests lie at the intersection of economic and ecological dynamics with his current work focusing on modeling the green transition.

He is also a guest researcher at the Institute for Social Ecology at BOKU Vienna.
