Sina Sajjadi

Former Researcher

Sina Sajjadi joined the Complexity Science Hub as a PhD candidate in May 2021 and was with the Hub until the end of September 2024.

He received his master’s degree in physics from Sharif University of Technology in Iran. For his thesis, he studied the spreading on temporal networks for cooperating infections, employing shuffling methods to analyze their hindering/enhancing effects, and utilizing clustering methods.

Sina also studied epidemic modeling through agent-based modeling of pedestrian dynamics to examine the effect of social distancing, as well as decision-making models to account for the disparity of infection rates across different socio-economic groups.

He is interested in both the theoretical and applied aspects of complex systems, particularly the mathematical modeling of social phenomena using techniques such as network modeling, game theory, and data analysis.

Sina was also pursuing his PhD at the Department of Network and Data Science at the Central European University (CEU).
