Seshat Databank Infrastructure and Workflows

This workshop aims to bring members of the Seshat Databank project together to streamline our workflows, improve collaboration with external experts, and build sustainable digital infrastructure for the project. We will concentrate on identifying challenges with current ways of working and finding solutions regarding clear processes and project documentation. Areas of focus include

1) Processes for handling data edits by Seshat Experts

2) Workflow for Cliopatria (historical map) releases in tandem with edit suggestions via the Seshat website

3) Scoping a common process for bulk additions to the Seshat SQL database from the various data sources being used by RAs

4) Introducing (and taking suggestions to improve) the Seshat API developed by the Turing team for RAs to work with the data from the database directly going forward.

Kindly note that participation of this workshop is by invitation only.
