Frontiers in DeFi
This is the third iteration of a workshop series on the topic of Decentralized Finance (DeFi). It follows previous editions held at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna in 2022 and at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in 2023. The workshop aims to assemble an interdisciplinary group of researchers with a shared interest in DeFi to discuss opportunities, challenges, and risks associated with DeFi. The target of the workshop is to identify pertinent research questions, foster academic collaborations, and cultivate potential future partnership opportunities. The goal is to organize this as an annual recurring workshop and establish a European expert and special interest group in the field of Decentralized Finance.
The expected outcome of this workshop is the cultivation of a growing interdisciplinary network of experts in the field of Decentralized Finance (DeFi). The workshop organizers will carefully curate the list of members. Furthermore, the workshop will facilitate the dissemination of knowledge, including scientific abstracts and presentations. To influence policymaking, regulators and policymakers will be invited to participate in presentations and discussions.
