William Burton

Former Researcher

William H. Burton was a research member of the economics team of the Complexity Science Hub. He was a full-time MASE/PhD student at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium) in the field of industrial organisation.

William has received a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics from the University of Vienna, and is expected to receive a master’s degree in advanced studies of economics in September 2020 from KU Leuven. His first master thesis used high-dimensional pricing data to quantify the consequences of optimal dynamic pricing under adjustment costs.

William has worked as a research and teaching assistant in the economics department of the University of Vienna and in the economic policy department of the Federal Economic Chamber of Austria (WKÖ). His research interests lie in the fields of (empirical) industrial organisation, and computational economics. Currently he is working on numerous projects related to (de-)centralised transportation networks.
