Teresa Almendros

Teresa Almendros is a sociologist studying the evolution of institutions through comparative historical research. Her current work consists in developing hypotheses through historical case studies, operationalizing relevant social theories, and testing them using agent based models. Her goal is to provide inductively grounded accounts of institutions that capture multiple layers of social reality, and in this way to support theory building efforts.

Teresa has degrees in sociology from the University of Buenos Aires and State University of New York and taught at both universities.
