Sandro is a Network Scientist focusing on sociospatial complexity, population dynamics, and socioeconomic inequalities. He’s currently a Postdoc at University of Copenhagen’s Centre for Social Data Science (SODAS) and a visiting researcher at IT University of Copenhagen’s NEtwoRks, Data, and Society Group (NERDS). His postdoc focuses on quantifying inequalities and bias in science through data-driven randomised trials. He has applied network-based and data-driven models to study topics including urban transportation, urban spatial segregation, spatial complexity, epidemics spreading, and text embedding. He holds a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from Queen Mary University of London, and has previously worked in the IT consulting industry for over seven years.
