Rainer Stütz is an applied mathematician and data scientist with two decades of experience in large-scale analytics and computational modeling. Since 2022, he has been a Faculty Member and IT Coordinator at the Complexity Science Hub; he is also a co-founder of IKNAIO Cryptoasset Analytics GmbH (est. 2021).
Prior to these roles, he built his career at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) over 17 years. He started in the Transportation Infrastructure Technologies group (Mobility Department), developing statistical models for traffic and road safety data, before moving to the Data Science & Artificial Intelligence group (Center for Digital Safety & Security) from 2017 to 2022, where his work focused mainly on large-scale cryptoasset analytics.
His interests span computational statistics, spatial data, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and analytics at scale.
