Pavel completed his PhD in physics at MIT 2019, working with Jeremy England on theoretical foundations of self-organization and origins of life. Since then, he expanded his work to broader complexity science questions, working on social networks of AIs, economics of firms in free markets (see his talk here), and cognitive questions about perception of animacy or life.
Pavel is also interested in Eastern Philosophy and mindfulness practices, both as a personal practice, and in how they relate to complex systems theory. He is currently building a research collaboration around these connections – please reach out if you’re interested.
