INFECTION FIGURES IN THE EU AREA NOW AVAILABLE AT DISTRICT LEVEL
A vacation in Corsica—or better choose Usedom? A business trip to Warsaw or a family celebration in Madrid? With the newly revised Corona Traffic Light, you have a tool at hand that offers you detailed regional information about numbers and trends in coronavirus infections.
We are proud to introduce you to our extended world-wide Corona Traffic Light (the first version went online by end of June).
The revisited map has several new dimensions:
EU LAYER
If you click the button “EU LAYER,” you will see confirmed corona virus infections in the EU area broken down to political districts. We derive the information from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. It is updated once a week.
EXTRA LAYER FOR AUSTRIA
With a click on the button “AUSTRIA LAYER,” the tool changes the details in Austria to the daily updated infection numbers derived from our Austrian CSH Corona Traffic Light (which is still accessible as a separate tool, too).
NEW MAP: TRENDS!
On multiple request of our users, our visualization team developed a totally new map, called “Trends”. It shows infection trends throughout the world during the last two weeks.
For the EU, the trends again are shown on a district level, the rest of the world shows trends per whole countries.
EASY TO USE, EASY TO UNDERSTAND
“The high access rates to our Austrian Corona Traffic Light made clear how much people appreciate an intuitively understandable information,” says our visualization expert Johannes Sorger. “People want figures and trends that are as accurate as possible, preferably broken down by region: How high is the risk of infection if I go skiing in northern Italy or am planning a business trip to southern France?”
The CSH Corona Traffic Light New now provides this kind of information for the EU.
