Medina is working as research engineer at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology Gmbh and is in the latest stage of her PhD studies in the Doctoral Program “Logic in Computer Science” at TU Wien.

Previously she obtained a joint Master’s degree in Computational Logic from the universities TU Wien, TU Dresden and Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.

She has academic and applied research experience in areas such as knowledge representation and reasoning, semantic web and natural language processing, publishing in top-tier conferences such as AAAI, WWW and CIKM.

Her research interest includes applications of knowledge graphs and logical reasoning, machine learning with graphs and neuro-symbolic AI techniques for analysing and obtaining insights from unstructured data.
