Hiroyasu Inoue is a professor at the Graduate School of Information Science, University of Hyogo, a guest senior researcher in RIKEN Center for Computational Science, a Sakigake researcher in Japan Science and Technology Agency. His research is about complex systems in societies, especially, utilizing network science, large-scale data, high performance computers, and simulations. He was a visiting professor at the Center for Complex Network Research at Northeastern University in the U.S. in 2011 and at Kiel University in Germany in 2018. He was awarded Evolutionary Economics Prize in 2017 and NISTEP Selection from National Institute of Science and Technology Policy in MEXT in 2021. He received his Ph.D. in informatics from Kyoto University.
