Giacomo Zelbi has been a PhD candidate at the Complexity Science Hub since March 2024.

He completed his bachelor’s degree in Physics and master’s degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Trieste, Italy. In 2022, Giacomo joined CSH through the Erasmus+ program to work on his master’s thesis, titled “Mitigating systemic risk by local rewiring in production networks.”

Currently, Giacomo is focusing his research on applying numerical techniques from Physics to optimize inter-firm networks and derive evidence-based policies. His research interests lie in using Network Science for novel insights into socio-economic structures, including, but not limited to, supply chains.
