Andrea is currently pursuing a PhD in Computational Social Science at ETH Zürich under the supervision of Prof. Dirk Helbing. He previously obtained a Master’s in Mathematics from the same institution (in 2021). His primary research focus is on leveraging large datasets and network science techniques to understand key economic phenomena. Why are certain cities large and others small? What determines firm location choices? What characterizes highly adaptive teams? Why is the middle class hollowing? These are the questions that animate his research.
