Indira Sen is a Computational Social Scientist dedicated to developing theory-driven and robust methods for measuring social constructs from digital trace data. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at the University of Konstanz in the Department of Politics and Public Policy. She completed her doctoral studies at RWTH-Aachen and the GESIS Leibnitz Institute for the Social Sciences in the Computational Social Science (CSS) Department, where she was advised by Prof. Claudia Wagner and Prof. Wil van der Aalst.

Indira’s research utilizes natural language processing and measurement theory to enhance the ability of researchers and policymakers to derive more accurate and transparent insights from digital trace data. Prior to her doctoral studies, she earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science from IIIT Delhi, working under the guidance of Prof. Ponnurangam Kumaraguru at Precog, where she also served as a research assistant. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Vellore Institute of Technology.
