Joseph Bradley

Joseph Bradley @ private, speaker at Econophysics Colloquium 2024 at Complexity Science Hub

Joseph Bradley is a postgraduate researcher in Econophysics with the Disordered Systems group in the Department of Mathematics, King’s College London. His supervisor is Professor Tiziana Di Matteo and his research focuses on the role that statistical physics can play in creating robust methods for understanding financial markets. Joseph is jointly funded by King’s College London and Jupiter Asset Management London.

Joseph’s current project looks at how network-based clustering methods from Econophysics can be used to understand proprietary ‘black box’ classification data that is normally used in equity portfolios. This then naturally leads to the question of how these clustering methods (some of which are very novel) can be optimised and applied at scale.

Joseph completed his Masters in Complex Systems Modelling at King’s College London where he received the Complex Systems Prize for the highest overall mark. Prior to that, he completed his undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Brasenose College, Oxford.
