Vladimir Kovačević finished computer science in 2007 at the School of Electrical Engineering, where he also obtained his PhD in 2016. He worked for 5 years for Intel as an algorithm developer and for 5 years with Seven Bridges bioinformatics company. For 8 years he has been teaching Genome Informatics at the School of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade. He works as an algorithm developer and team lead at BGI Research Serbia. His current interest includes machine learning applied in life science, data science, precision medicine, and bioinformatics in general.
