Virág Bittó is an Economist at wiiw and a PhD candidate in Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Her research interests include Global Value Chains, (green) innovation, and climate economics. She holds an MA in Economic Policy in Global Markets and an MSc in Economic Analysis from Central European University (CEU). Before starting her PhD, she spent almost four years as a junior researcher atthe  EcoAustria Institute for Economic Research in Vienna, focusing on regional economics and climate policy. During her time at university, she worked on multiple research projects as a research assistant at the HUN-REN Centre for Social Sciences in Budapest and at the Game Theory Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
