Valerie Laturnus is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Durham University, where she joined the faculty in January 2024. She holds a PhD in Financial Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt. Her research focuses on FinTech and blockchain economics, especially the economic mechanisms underlying decentralized finance. She has extensive experience working with large-scale blockchain data and has also shared her expertise on the Blockchain Scholars Podcast.
