Thomas De Angelis has been a visiting student at the Complexity Science Hub since October 2025.
His research interests include behavioral economics, system dynamics, international security (particularly radicalization and terrorism studies), as well as digital transformation, emerging technologies, and their associated risks. Within the “AI & Machine Learning” research group, he specifically explores the topic of “AI hallucinations” and their effects on individuals’ knowledge acquisition and belief formation.
He received his bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from LUISS in 2020 with a grade of 110 cum laude, and his master’s degree in International Relations with a grade of 109 from the same university in 2022. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in digital transformation, with a focus on cybersecurity, at Pegaso University.
Thomas worked as a cyber strategy analyst for Deloitte between 2023 and 2024, is an associate member of SYDIC – the System Dynamics Italian Chapter, and currently serves as a researcher and tutor at IUL Telematic University.
