Sergi Novell-Masot is an Assistant Professor at IQS (Universitat Ramon Llull) in Barcelona. He obtained his PhD in statistical cosmology at the University of Barcelona. His research during his PhD focused on modelling and statistical inference for data from galaxy surveys, which he applied to the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Survey (DESI) Data Release 1.

His current research interests lie in the application of mathematical and statistical modelling to real-world complex systems, with a focus on health and social dynamics. During his stay at CSH, he is interested in learning and contributing to research on population-level patterns, inequalities, and structural mechanisms in health and social systems, with an emphasis on network-based methods.
