Philipp Alexander Steininger joined the Complexity Science Hub as a Research Assistant.

Philipp Alexander Steininger is a research assistant for the project “Opportunity in Crisis – Empowering Ukrainian Refugees to Rebuild the Ukrainian Economy,” where he focuses on engaging with German and Austrian companies that have branches in Ukraine.

The primary aim of this project is to support Ukraine in reorienting its economy towards European value chains. Specifically, the project focuses on integrating displaced Ukrainians into Austrian and German companies with current or planned investments in Ukraine.
Philipp is currently pursuing a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at the Central European University in Vienna. He previously earned a postsecondary degree in Renewable Energies and Sustainability. In Fall 2024, he will be attending the University of Chicago for a term abroad. Philipp is also a passionate advocate for climate protection, having had the privilege of representing Austria’s youth at the last two UN Climate Conferences in Sharm-El Sheikh, Egypt, and Dubai, UAE.
