Mateus Granha joined the Complexity Science Hub as a PhD candidate in July 2026.
At CSH, he is part of the Supply Chain Science team, contributing to the ENSURE project. His work draws on tools from statistical physics, agent-based modeling, and complex network theory to study the resilience of supply chain systems.
He holds a master’s degree in Physics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) and a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the University of Pernambuco (UPE), both in Recife, Brazil. His earlier work focused on the emergence of collective behavior in social and economic systems, studying how behavioral models rooted in social psychology can explain patterns in voting behavior, opinion formation, and financial market fluctuations.
