Prof Lock Yue Chew has been with the School of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) since 2005. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Physics from the National University of Singapore in 2004. Before joining NTU, he was a Senior Member of Technical Staff with DSO National Laboratories of Singapore. His research interest is in Complex Systems, spanning the theme of social physics, urban complexity, and complexity science within the realm of biological, climate, and quantum systems. His current research focus is on the topics of artificial intelligence for complexity science and the foundation of complex systems based on information thermodynamics.
