Léo Delalandre joined the Complexity Science Hub as a Postdoctoral Researcher in January 2026.
Within the Social Complexity & Collapse team, his research focuses on historical developments in gender inequality. His methodology combines agent-based modeling with comparative analysis of historical and archaeological data.
Léo obtained his PhD at the Center for Functional and Evolutionary Ecology in Montpellier. There, he studied the relationships between plant functional traits and their environment using a combination of modeling, fieldwork, and experiments. He subsequently developed guidelines to enhance the longevity and reusability of functional trait data. His earlier work focused on the dynamics of plant–plant and plant–pollinator interaction networks.
