Laia is a PhD student at the Institute of Complex Systems of the University of Barcelona (UBICS). She holdd a BSc in Fundamental Physics from the University of Barcelona and an MSc in Computational Modeling, a joint program between the University of Barcelona and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Her research lies at the intersection of network theory and neuroscience, with a focus on the characterization of structural connectomes across multiple scales. By applying tools from network theory and network geometry, She aims to uncover the fundamental principles underlying brain connectivity and to explore how the brain’s architecture shapes its function.
