Alexandra has been a PhD candidate at the Complexity Science Hub since July 2025.
As part of the Transforming Economies team, she is pursuing her longstanding research interests in the intersection of migration and the labor market, with a focus on opportunity structures and social ties. Her project investigates the role of coworker networks, intimate partnerships and language skills in labor market outcomes for migrants and native-born workers.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computational Political Science from the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) and an MSc in Social Data Science from Central European University (Vienna).
