Julien Ravet is an economist at the European Commission, where he leads the Economic Analysis team in the Chief Economist, strategy and foresight Unit of DG Research and Innovation, coordinating analytical work supporting strategic policy discussions. With experience across academia, consultancy and national public administration, he specialises in the economics of research and innovation, public investment and EU policy. He is also a lecturer at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, where he obtained his PhD in economics.
