Jayaditya “Jojo” Deep is an applied math and computational science PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania. He is curious broadly and in the past has worked on projects in classical algorithms, Markov chain mixing times, machine translation for low-resource languages, decision making with motion, and opinion dynamics. His latest interest has been leveraging concepts in evolutionary game theory to make statements about economic and political structures in society. Most generally, Jojo enjoys exploring how individuals form decisions when placed in larger contexts and studying how influence flows through such a system.
Jojo previously worked in optimization in New York City and prior to that completed his bachelor’s at Princeton in mathematics.
