Jin Wang

Prof. Jin Wang received his bachelor’s degree in Physics from Jilin University and Ph.D. in astrophysics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He did his postdoctoral research studies on biophysics and was a guest scientist at the National Institutes of Health. He then joined Citibank and became vice president and senior analyst on risk modeling and data mining at the Global Strategic Analytics Unit after postdoctoral studies. In 2004, he returned to academia and joined the faculty at Stony Brook University in Chemistry and Physics. Prof. Jin Wang has focused his research on nonequilibrium statistical physics, biophysics, information physics and spacetime physics. He has published over 470 papers with citations over 18000 and an H index of 70. He was elected as a fellow of the American Physical Society, a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a foreign fellow of the European Academy of Sciences.
