Jan Gerrit Schuurman is a researcher at TU Berlin working on decision-making, risk communication, and the philosophy of agency, and is currently on sabbatical in Lausanne. His work focuses on how statistical information becomes action-guiding in real-world contexts. He was previously affiliated with the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and was an Artist in Residence at the Santa Fe Institute, where he explored intersections between complexity science, perception, and artistic practice.
