Jakob Zsambok has been a Research Assistant since January 2025 at CSH.

He believes that understanding the present requires studying the past. He focuses on identifying general laws of history and analyzing large datasets. Since 2023, Jakob has been a member of Peter Turchin’s research group, Social Complexity & Collapse, and has contributed to Seshat: Global History Databank.
