Giovanni Palermo

Giovanni is a tenured teacher of mathematics and physics at a high school in Rome. Currently on leave, he is pursuing a PhD in physics at Sapienza University and working at Enrico Fermi Research Center under the supervision of Giulio Cimini and Vittorio Loreto. His research focuses on opinion dynamics and social network models. Using statistical mechanics, the physics of complex networks, and machine learning, he aims to understand how opinions evolve within networks, how networks themselves change based on opinions, and how an external observer can extract information from the observations.
