Gerald Schweiger is a Full Professor at TU Wien, where he leads the Metascience Group and the Intelligent Buildings and Systems Group. His research in metascience focuses on how science is organized, evaluated, and funded, including administrative burden, academic inbreeding, and the costs of competition in research funding. He also works on reproducibility and transparency in applied machine learning. Gerald holds degrees in engineering, social science, and philosophy.
