Preparing for the AI Revolution: Strategies for European Countries
Motivation
In the face of rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), European countries must develop strategic
responses to remain competitive. While Europe may not lead in the development of frontier AI systems,
its skilled labor force and solid infrastructure offers a strong foundation for productive diffusion and
responsible adoption of AI.
This workshop, hosted by the Austrian Central Bank in collaboration with the Complexity Science Hub
(CSH) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), aims to bring together research economists,
policymakers, and industry leaders to explore the optimal adaptation strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), assess the labor market consequences, and identify the planning and preparation needs for economic policymakers in Europe.
Join us for an engaging and insightful discussion on navigating the AI revolution and ensuring sustainable economic growth and competitiveness in the evolving global landscape.
