Getting it out there: Science Journalism and Communicating Research
Science journalist Flora Graham, who writes Nature‘s influential daily email newsletter, will discusses how – and why – to communicate your work via the press. She will share what a ‘day in the life’ of a journalist looks like, how science-journalism stories get commissioned and produced, what reporters look for in a science story – and what to do if you’re worried your work is ‘too boring’. Plus, how and where to publish your own writing about your research, and examples of tools for measuring success.
