Collective Adaption
As human groups encounter uncertainty, shifting environments, and intricate social problems, understanding their capacity to navigate change and develop robust adaptive strategies becomes paramount. During this workshop, we will examine key questions including how collectives tackle dynamic and evolving problems while balancing conflicting priorities, what drives the emergence and persistence of divergent beliefs about societal challenges, and how the interplay between social learning strategies and network structures can foster collective resilience.
This workshop will feature presentations from members of the Collective Adaptation research group and international researchers drawn from disciplines such as psychology, cognitive science, political science, computer science, physics, and complexity science. In addition to these talks, participants will take part in collaborative discussion sessions aimed at identifying interdisciplinary research opportunities, facilitating partnerships among participants, and planning future activities.
