Art & Science with Peter Rosei: ICH BIN KEIN FELSEN, ICH BIN EIN FLUSS

ICH BIN KEIN FELSEN, ICH BIN EIN FLUSS

Peter Rosei’s new book is about the urgency of questions and the impossibility of simple answers. It is about art as research, about the attempt to show the world as it is without resorting to theory. It is about the dialogue between self and society, about the loneliness of thought and the longing for a counterpart, about the constant asking of But is that true? What should we do? How do we want to live, in what kind of society and in what kind of world?

The texts are carried by a spirit of speech and counter-speech in the Socratic sense, where reflection becomes an act of living inquiry. Rosei appears as a perceptual acrobat who apparently keeps art, politics and lifestyle in play at once, never effortlessly, but always with the risk of exposing himself to uncertainty.
