Dima Farra has been a visiting researcher at the Complexity Science Hub since May 2026.
Dima is pursuing her PhD at the Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. Her doctoral research focuses on evaluating emission reduction strategies in the Danish dairy sector through integrated environmental, economic, and structural modelling approaches.
Within the Supply Chain Science group, her work combines agricultural economics, veterinary science, environmental assessment, and complex systems science to study how decarbonization strategies influence livestock systems. At CSH, she works on integrating livestock movement networks, economic modelling, and greenhouse gas mitigation scenarios to assess systemic risk and supply chain resilience under climate policies.
Dima graduated in veterinary medicine from the University of Bern. Before starting her PhD, she completed a residency in Veterinary Public Health and became a European Specialist in Veterinary Public Health, with a sub-specialty in Population Medicine. She previously worked at the Veterinary Public Health Institute of the University of Bern, where her research focused on Bayesian latent class models and the epidemiology of fasciolosis and schistosomiasis in nomadic livestock populations in Central Africa.
