WEdnesdays

CSH Event Formats

A public event at the Complexity Science Hub where leading scientists explore big questions in language everyone can understand. No background knowledge needed.

Inspired by Vienna’s turn-of-the-century salons, WEdnesday SALONS brings science into an open conversation – inviting everyone to listen, ask questions, and join the discussion. It’s a SALON for the “WE”.

A research presentation showcasing important new discoveries in complexity science. Spend an hour hearing directly from the researchers who did the work – leading scholars from across the globe – with plenty of time for discussion. The WEdnesday TALK is aimed at a scientific audience but is open to the broader public.

A short-format research presentation focusing on an emerging or ongoing project at the Complexity Science Hub or beyond. Our resident scientists or guests share their ideas, methods, and results to inspire knowledge exchange and encourage collaboration. CSH Talks are for members of our research community only.

An immersive series of scientific talks and discussion among leading experts, addressing critical new research challenges. Typically running for several days, workshops are led by CSH researchers and catalyze new international collaborations. CSH Workshops are by invitation only.

A diverse range of events beyond our regular formats, from book readings and exhibitions to celebrations and networking events. This category covers everything that doesn’t fit a fixed format, bringing complexity science into new settings whenever the occasion calls for it.
