Bojana Bašaragin holds a BA in General Linguistics (2006) and a Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics (2017) from the University of Belgrade. She is currently a Research Associate at the Institute for Artificial Intelligence Research and Development of Serbia (IVI), where she contributes to various projects, including the development of the first anonymizer for Serbian, advancements in biomedical named entity recognition, and the application of AI for the early diagnosis of rare diseases. Her career spans both academia and industry, with her current work at IVI focusing on applying computational linguistics and natural language processing to support data-driven decision-making in healthcare and business operations.
