Ben Ansbacher

Ben is a joint post-baccalaureate researcher at the Santa Fe Institute and Denmark Technical University. He holds a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota (USA). His research focuses on the stochastic thermodynamics of communication networks and optimal thermodynamic energy harvesting from nonequilibrium systems. His past research studied the information theoretic complexity of gene expression and discrete symmetries in time series data from nonlinear systems. He enjoys playing ice hockey, recording and producing music, and video games.
