Anna Oksanen is a PhD candidate at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. Before starting her PhD, she worked widely in applied biostatistics, but currently works mostly in cancer research. Her theoretical work focuses on using copulas, maximum-likelihood-based estimation, and machine learning to describe and understand interactions and the flow of information inside higher-dimensional systems.
