Ana Maria Perez Arredondo has been a researcher at the Complexity Science Hub (CSH) since October 2025.
Her research interests span science–policy interfaces, health financing, social protection, agricultural economics, and sustainable development, and One Health. Within CSH’s Health Across Species research team, she studies how climate change affects health and helps prioritize climate-sensitive zoonoses in Austria using a transdisciplinary approach. Ana Maria’s broader interests center on collaborative and multi-method research at the intersection of social sciences, political science, resource economics, environmental conservation, and health.
Her doctoral research at the University of Bonn (Germany) covered several aspects of One Health implementation in Ghana. She holds a joint Master’s degree in International Agribusiness and Rural Development Economics from the University of Göttingen (Germany) and the University of Talca (Chile), and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Guadalajara (Mexico). She is affiliated with the Vetmeduni Vienna and the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, foraging for wild fruits and mushrooms, practicing archery, and watching tennis.
