Alexander Kropiunig has been a PhD Candidate at the Complexity Science Hub since February 2025, working within the Digital Currency Ecosystems research group.
His research focuses on the emergent dynamics of digital financial markets as complex adaptive systems, examining the recursive interplay between collective sentiment, information diffusion, and asset price formation. By leveraging methodologies from computational modeling, network science, and cognitive economics, he aims to uncover the hidden structures and self-organizing principles that drive volatility in decentralized economic ecosystems.
He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Computer Science from TU Graz and is currently pursuing his PhD at TU Vienna.
